Daylight savings got you down? Beat the doldrums with a fun-filled day of amazing grub and dinosaurs planned for you and your family!

Morning

Start your Saturday adventure off by boarding the South Shore Line (SSL) and riding to Millennium Station. Once you disembark the train, head to Wildberry Pancakes & Cafe, one of our favorite breakfast spots, for some scrumptious breakfast food and coffee. From Belgian waffles, paninis & wraps to espresso and mocha beverages, they have everything you could want to start your day off right with a little caffeine high and a spring in your step.

To get to Wildberry, exit Millennium station, and head north across cross E Randolph Street. Cross Michigan Avenue walking east, and Wildberry Pancakes & Cafe is on your left at 130 E Randolph St, Chicago, IL 60601.

Once your bellies are full and your hearts are happy, it’s time for Jurassic Quest at Navy Pier!! Jurassic Quest is the only dinosaur event that has true-to-life size dinosaurs. Guests will walk through the Cretaceous period, the Jurassic Period and the Triassic period and experience for themselves what it was like to be among living, breathing dinosaurs.

Getting to Navy Pier is easy!  Just walk out of Wildberry, and catch the bus at the Michigan/Randolph bus stop, and jump on the 124 to Navy Pier. When you see the ferris wheel, you’ll know you have arrived!

Once you enter Navy Pier, head to Festival Hall, and let your Jurassic Quest experience begin! There are many attractions and activities for all kinds of dinosaur fans, so it is sure to be a hit for the entire family. Purchase your tickets here: https://www.jurassicquest.com/events/chicago-il

Afternoon

We can only imagine that after the rides, exhibits, activities, and dinosaur encounters, you will probably start to get hangry. Do not worry because we have you covered. Navy Pier has several dining options, including Billy Goat Tavern, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Giordano’s, Harry Carry’s Tavern, and much more. You are sure to find a place the whole family agrees on while you sit and recall your Jurassic Quest experience.

If you finish lunch and aren’t ready for the day to end, hit some of the shops located inside Navy Pier and maybe even snag some dessert from Ozzie’s Pops and Pretzels, Ben & Jerry’s, Brown Sugar Bakery, or Garrett’s Popcorn Shops. Yum!

Night

Stay a little longer, and head to the Mag Mile for some shopping, or head back to Millennium Station, and catch the next train home. It’s up to you!

If you want to head to the Mag mile, catch bus 66 at Navy Pier, and ride to the Chicago/State stop for your shopping adventure. If you are heading back to Millennium Station, catch bus 124 back to the station and catch your train.
