The BMO Harris Bank Magnificent Mile Lights Festival returns for 2019 on Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23, and is a FREE 2-day Family-friendly holiday event extravaganza!

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22

The festival starts on Friday, November 22, from 4 pm to 8 pm in Pioneer Court (401 N. Michigan Ave) with fun family holiday activities and live entertainment. There will also be treats to sample from Garrett Popcorn, Frango, The Eli’s Cheesecake Company, and many more.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 23

On Saturday, November 23, from 11 am to 4 pm, come explore the interactive holiday-themed wonderland full of activities and photo ops at Lights Festival Lane in Pioneer Court (401 N. Michigan Ave). There will also be live music performances and meet-and-greets with the artists. The meet-and-greets require a wristband and are first come first serve while supplies last.

The tree-lighting parade will begin at 5:30 pm. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse lead the parade as the Grand Marshals and light one million lights along the way. The procession will feature floats, balloons, marching bands, and other musical performers.

At 6:55 pm there will be a firework spectacular over the Chicago River at North Michigan Avenue.

Getting to the BMO Harris Bank Magnificent Mile Lights Festival

To get to the festival take the SSL train to Millennium Station. Exit the station and head north on Michigan Ave. Cross the Chicago River and the event will be on your right.

There are multiple restaurants around the area to enjoy but we recommend The Billy Goat Tavern (430 N. Michigan Ave at Lower Level). Try one of their famous Cheezborgers.
