Your Weekend Planner for Notre Dame Home Games

Notre Dame home games are fun for the whole family and the South Shore Line is here to get you to and from the game. Here are some tips to ensure you score a win with your friends and family this season.

** Please note that Notre Dame Stadium has instituted a Clear Bag Policy.

Please see their website for more details **

For early afternoon games, we recommend taking the #503 train Eastbound which will arrive at the S.B. Airport at 12:10 pm ET.

For evening games, we recommend taking the #505 train Eastbound which will arrive at S.B. Airport at 5:06 pm ET.

No matter which train you choose to take, you will then board a FREE shuttle Transpo bus near the South Shore train platform. It will drop you off near the Eck Visitors Center/Bookstore on campus. You are now standing in the heart of the campus.

Pre-Game

If you are looking for something to do before the kick-off, check out these on-campus activities.

  • Eck Visitors Center – It hosts a hospitality center, museum, and serves as a meeting place for alumni, parents, and friends. Weather permitting, you can arrange to take a guided tour, although, please note that groups of 10 or more must arrange for a private tour.

Please see Notre Dame’s website for more information regarding tour availabilities and details

  • Trumpets Under the Dome – Don’t be surprised by the sounds of trumpets shortly after your arrival, that’s just the Trumpets Under the Dome event. A truly amazing display of school tradition, as the trumpet section of the Band of the Fighting Irish, plays under the Golden Dome (Main Building). It’s standing room only but this is one event you won’t want to pass up.
  • Compton Family Ice Arena – If you are looking for a place to warm up or chill out, you are welcome to visit the Compton Family Ice Arena which will be open to the general public for viewing the Main Arena.
  • Band of the Fighting Irish Concert & March Out – 90 minutes before kick-off, the Band of the Fighting Irish will perform on the Steps at Bond Hall. After their localized performance, you will see them march from the main building and make their way to Notre Dame Stadium.
  • Grab a Bite to Eat in the North or South Dining Halls – The North and South Dining Halls serve brunch (10:30 am – 2:00 pm ET) and candlelit dinner buffet (5:00 pm – 8:30 pm ET) on *game days.

*Pricing and availability are subject to change

By now you are all fired up and ready to enjoy the game! Hungry? If you have not indulged in the on-campus dining options already, there are                 concessions inside the stadium.

  • Concessions inside the Stadium – There is so much to choose from! Hotdogs, chicken sandwiches, Italian Beef, BBQ, and so much more! There is something for everyone inside. Check out the complete list of concessions and their locations on the Notre Dame game day website.
