Your Weekend Planner to a Picnic at Maggie Daley Park

Get outside and enjoy some fresh air and the beautiful Chicago scenery with a picnic at Maggie Daley Park this weekend!

Let the South Shore Line take you westbound to Millennium Station, downtown Chicago. Once you have headed out of the station, head east toward N Michigan avenue. Turn left and continue north on N Michigan Avenue one block. Turn left onto E Lake Street and pick up lunch at the Broken English Taco Pub.  Open 11am-12am and just a two-minute walk from Millennium Station, the Broken English Taco Pup is the perfect place to pick up a delicious casual lunch to take with you to the park; be sure to call ahead! Not in the mood for tacos? Continue west on Lake Street one block and stop by Chick-fil-A.

Picnic ready, it is time to head to the park to enjoy the beautiful summer weather. Head back to N Michigan Avenue, turn right, and continue south one block. Cross W Randolph Street and turn left into Millennium Park. Continue walking east through the park and enjoy the scenery. Find a comfy spot at Millennium park or cross the BP Pedestrian Bridge across S Columbus Drive to Maggie Daley Park. Here you will find plenty of beautiful places to stop, sit, and eat.

After lunch, continue walking through the park or have some fun with Maggie Daley Park activities like mini golf, scooter or roller blade rental, and a trampoline bungee jump. Don’t forget your mask!

After your day at the park, head west and cross the BP Pedestrian Bridge, back through Millennium Park, and out to N Michigan Avenue. Turn right and continue north on N Michigan Avenue one block to W Randolph Street. Cross N Michigan Avenue and arrive back at Millennium station or continue North one block on N Michigan Avenue to finish off your day with coffee and dessert at Stan’s Donuts and Coffee or Nutella Café Chicago.

Wrapping up your day, hop on the South Shore Line at Millennium Station eastbound to head back home.
