The CSX is renewing their grade crossing on Hohman Ave. in Hammond immediately south of South Shore’s Hammond Station.  The work will begin on November 12 and conclude on or before November 27.  The CSX crossing will be closed to all traffic.

Detour:  South Shore passengers using Hohman Ave approaching Hammond Station from the south will be diverted to Chicago St. and north on Johnson Ave.

Passengers approaching Hammond Station from the north will be able to use Hohman Ave. south of Gostlin St. to the entrance to the station.
