In order to accommodate dispatch system testing, beginning tonight, March 11, 2024, the South Shore Line will bus weekday eastbound train passengers between 10 p.m. – 3 a.m. to stations between Gary Metro Center and Carroll Ave. The temporary overnight busing is expected to last several weeks.
The busing in addition to ongoing temporary busing between Gary Metro Center and Dune Park.
Beginning March 11, 2024, overnight busing to Carroll Ave. includes the following trains:
• Weekday EB Trains 121, 123, 101
Buses will arrive and depart with passengers to match the SSL published train schedule between Gary Metro Center and Carroll Ave. Passengers on Tr 121, Tr 123 and Tr 101 will detrain at Gary Metro to board buses for their destination stations.
