Notice is hereby given that the Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority (“RDA”) will hold two public hearings both of which commencing at 10:00 am (local time) on June 9, 2022 and July 14, 2022, at the Purdue Technology Center, 9800 Connecticut Drive, Crown Point, Indiana 46307. The South Shore Line plans to implement a schedule change on Monday, June 6, 2022, affecting the South Bend Airport time for two trains. Please see below for revised scheduled station times for the impacted trains:
In order to accommodate a scheduled rail delivery in relation to the Double Track NWI project, the South Shore Line will bus midday passengers to stations between Carroll Ave. and Gary/Chicago Airport (Clark Rd.), effective Tuesday, May 17 through Thursday, May 19. The Gary busing is in addition to ongoing busing between Carroll Ave. and Dune Park stations.

Buses will arrive and depart with passengers to match our published train schedule between Carroll Ave. and Gary/Chicago Airport. Westbound passengers should be prepared to board buses in front of Carroll Ave. Station and re-board WB South Shore trains at Gary. Eastbound passengers will detrain at Gary to board buses, and board their scheduled EB trains again at Carroll Ave.

Pursuant to recently received guidance from the Transportation Security Administration, the South Shore Line will no longer require masks for passengers onboard trains or in stations, effective immediately. If a passenger chooses to wear a mask and requires assistance, train crews will continue to provide masks free of charge.
