Pursuant to recently received guidance from the Transportation Security Administration, the South Shore Line will no longer require masks for passengers onboard trains or in stations, effective immediately. If a passenger chooses to wear a mask and requires assistance, train crews will continue to provide masks free of charge.
South Shore Line passengers are advised that the Transportation Security Administration mask order is extended until May 3, 2022. The order mandates the use of masks or face coverings for all SSL passengers and employees, regardless of vaccination status.
To accommodate passengers attending Star Trek: Mission Chicago April 8-10, the South Shore Line will be offering select weekday train stops at McCormick Place Station on Friday, in addition to regular service to McCormick Place during the weekend.
The South Shore Line announces that it will again offer a “Buy 1 Get 1 Free” promotion, applicable for May monthly tickets. All monthly tickets purchased for the month of May 2022 will remain valid throughout June 2022.
Passengers are advised that the Millennium Station South Shore Line depot will be closed EVENINGS/OVERNIGHT ONLY today, Monday, April 4 through Friday, April 8, 2022.
