The following South Shore Line service updates will be in effect to accommodate passengers attending the Chicago Air & Water Show, taking place Saturday, Aug. 10, and Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024, at North Avenue Beach.
Alcohol is prohibited on all trains Aug. 10-11. Please remember glass bottles are prohibited at all times.
Westbound service, Aug. 10-11:
- A westbound Extra train will depart Carroll Ave. at 8:30 a.m. and make all local stops, terminating at Millennium Station. The westbound Extra will not serve Hudson Lake or South Bend.
Eastbound service, Aug. 10-11:
- An eastbound Extra train will depart Millennium Station at 4:45 p.m. (Van Buren St. at 4:48 p.m.), run non-stop to Hegewisch and make all local stops terminating at Carroll Ave., Michigan City. The eastbound Extra will not serve Hudson Lake or South Bend.
Please be advised the South Shore Line reserves the right to remove disorderly passengers. Disorderly conduct includes, but is not limited to, public indecency/nudity, and drunken or disruptive conduct.
