The South Shore Line advises commuters of a bicycling event taking place Friday, June 14,
2024, on westbound Tr 8 and Tr 28.
Around 25 passengers with bicycles who are participating in the Le Tour de Shore event will
board Tr 8 at Dune Park on Friday morning, detraining at Millennium Station. In the afternoon,
around 30 passengers with bicycles will board Train 28 at Dune Park destined for Millennium
Station.
To accommodate this event, additional bike racks will be added to the rear of Tr 8 and Train 28.
Therefore, on June 14 only, the Quiet Car for Train 8 will be the second-to-last car on the
train.
SSL crew members are prepared to minimize the impact of the boarding and unloading;
however, please be aware delays are possible due to the nature of the event. Thank you in
