In order to accommodate an expected increase in ridership due to the Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade and dyeing of the river, the South Shore Line will offer extra passenger trains on Saturday, March 15, 2025.
Passengers are advised that the South Bend Airport train station lobby will be temporarily closed due to flooring construction beginning Monday, March 10, 2025, and lasting approximately one month.
Between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 8-9, 2025, all South Shore Line passengers utilizing Millennium Station will temporarily board/detrain from the Metra Depot (Tracks 5 and 6), located northwest of the SSL platform.
Passengers are advised the South Shore Line will implement a new train schedule, effective Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025.
