South Shore Line expands Kids Ride Free Program for more affordable fun for spring break 2025
Between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2025, all South Shore Line passengers utilizing Millennium Station will temporarily board/detrain from the Metra Depot (Tracks 5 and 6), located northwest of the SSL platform.
In order to accommodate an expected increase in ridership due to the Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade and dyeing of the river, the South Shore Line will offer extra passenger trains on Saturday, March 15, 2025.
Passengers are advised that the South Bend Airport train station lobby will be temporarily closed due to flooring construction beginning Monday, March 10, 2025, and lasting approximately one month.
Between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, March 8-9, 2025, all South Shore Line passengers utilizing Millennium Station will temporarily board/detrain from the Metra Depot (Tracks 5 and 6), located northwest of the SSL platform.
Passengers are advised the South Shore Line will implement a new train schedule, effective Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2025.
To accommodate passengers attending the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting taking place Feb. 20-22, 2025, at McCormick Place, the South Shore Line will be offering select train stops at McCormick Place Station.
To accommodate passengers attending the Chicago Auto Show, the South Shore Line will be offering select weekday and weekend train stops at McCormick Place throughout the duration of the show. Passengers destined for the Auto Show should purchase tickets using Museum Campus, as McCormick Place is no longer a regularly scheduled stop. Please note on Presidents’
The South Shore Line announces it will extend its “Buy 1 Get 1 Free” monthly ticket promotion for March 2025. All monthly tickets purchased for the month of March 2025 will remain valid for April 2025. Passengers purchasing a paper March monthly ticket should plan to keep that ticket and use it through April, and
