Passengers are advised that all South Shore Line train operations will return to regular scheduled service effective Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026.
Due to severe storm damage occurring on Aug. 11, SSL service has been operating on a significantly reduced schedule as a result of power outages throughout the region.
Although train service is being restored, power outages continue to impact multiple locations throughout the SSL service area. Passengers are advised that delays remain possible due to ongoing railroad crossing and signal outages.
MONON CORRIDOR
Regular Monon Corridor service to stations between Munster/Dyer and Millennium Station is operating as scheduled as of Aug. 13. Please be advised delays are possible due to ongoing railroad crossing and signal power outages.
LAKESHORE CORRIDOR
Regular Lakeshore Corridor service to stations between South Bend and Chicago will operate on its regular weekend schedule beginning Saturday, Aug. 15. Lakeshore Corridor service will then begin operating on its regular weekday schedule beginning Monday, Aug. 17, 2026. Passengers are advised delays remain possible as a result of ongoing railroad crossing and signal power outages.
