Drivers are advised that South Shore Line track upgrades will impact traffic in South Bend beginning Friday, May 3, 2019.

Beginning May 3, Lincoln Way W (U.S. 20) will be closed at the railroad tracks where the road meets N Bendix Drive. The track project also includes re-paving approximately 6-8 feet on either side of the rail, and expected completion date is Friday, May 17, 2019.

During this period, Lincoln Way/U.S. 20 on the east side of Bendix will be closed to traffic in both directions; however, the portion of Lincoln Way/U.S. 20 west of Bendix Drive will remain open. Bendix Drive will also remain open.

The posted truck detour utilizes Mayflower Road to Western Avenue (S.R. 2) to Chapin Street (Charles Martin Sr. Drive). The suggested local traffic detour is Ardmore Trail. Please see maps for further clarification.
