The Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District (NICTD) operates the South Shore Line train with service from Millennium Station in Chicago to the South Bend International Airport in South Bend, IN. NICTD is governed by a Board of Trustees representing the four Indiana counties served by the South Shore Line. The Board welcomes your comments at any time.
TITLE VI
In accordance with NICTD’s responsibilities under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and pursuant to 49 CFR 21.9 (d), it is NICTD’s goal to ensure that no one is denied participation in, or denied the benefits of, or is otherwise discriminated against in the provision of public transportation by commuter rail because of race, color, or national origin. NICTD is in compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and 49 CFR 21.9 (d). Any information regarding NICTD’s Title VI policy/procedure can be requested from NICTD’s Office of Civil Rights Compliance.
NICTD has established a Title VI complaint procedure for anyone who believes he or she has been discriminated in violation of this policy.
