The South Shore’s bridge replacement work will impact several weekday trains beginning October 13, 2016.  Please read the following bulletin for affected trains.

• Eastbound:
  • Train 203: substitute express bus ONLY from Millennium Station to Hegewisch, Hammond, East Chicago and Gary Metro Center (no service to Van Buren or Gary/Chicago Airport)
  • Train 205: 15-20 minute delays east of East Chicago
  • Trains 7 & 9: 15-20 minute delays east of East Chicago
  • Train 119: May depart Millennium Station up to 15-20 minutes late

• Westbound:
  • Trains 14, 18, 20 & 220: 15-20 minute delays west of Gary

We advise passengers to arrive at their station before scheduled departure time in the event delays are shorter than expected.

From October 13-27 the South Shore is replacing a bridge over the CN Railroad near Cline Ave.  It will require that we operate on a single track between approximately Clark Rd in Gary and Kennedy Ave. in East Chicago; a section of double track where we normally have trains operating simultaneously in either direction.  This will require select trains to wait for opposing trains to clear before operating through the construction area.
