CHESTERTON, Ind. – The South Shore Line has scheduled additional personnel and all available train cars to provide as much capacity as possible for Friday’s World Series Parade and Rally honoring the Chicago Cubs first Championship in 108 years.
The trains will follow the regular daily schedule but will offer expanded capacity for additional riders.
Mike Noland, South Shore Railroad President, advises all travelers to be patient as trains are expected to be crowded. “This is truly an historic event – 108 years in the making. The South Shore began rail service in 1908 – the last ;me the Cubs won a World Series. I guess you could say we’ve grown up together and are so proud to have transported thousands of Cubs fans through the years to watch their favorite team.”
