Chicago Bears Extras and 18th St. Stops for Playoff Game January 6th, 2019

To accommodate passengers attending the Chicago Bears postseason game at 3:40 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at Soldier Field, the South Shore Line will run an extra eastbound and extra westbound train, with additional select stops at the 18th St. Station.

 Westbound service:

·         A westbound Extra train will depart Carroll Avenue Station at 11:40 a.m., and make all local stops terminating at Millennium Station. The westbound Extra will arrive at the 18th St. Station at 1:18 p.m., and at Millennium Station at 1:28 p.m. It will make the following stops:

o  11th St. Michigan City (11:44a); Dune Park (12:01p); Ogden Dunes (12:10p); Miller (12:17p); Gary Metro (12:24p); East Chicago (12:38p); Hammond (12:43p); and Hegewisch (12:50p).

·         Scheduled service: Westbound Train #506 will serve the 18th St. Station, scheduled to arrive at 2:33 p.m.

 

Eastbound service:

·         An eastbound Extra train will depart Museum Campus/11th St. approximately 55 minutes after the game ends, with an 18th St. Station stop following shortly after Museum Campus. It will run non-stop to Hegewisch and make all local stops terminating at Carroll Avenue, Michigan City. The eastbound Extra will not serve Millennium Station, Van Buren St., Hudson Lake or South Bend.

·         Scheduled service: Eastbound Train 509 and Train 511 will serve the 18th St. Station following the game. Train 509 departs 18th St. at 6:28 p.m.; Train 511 departs 18th St. at 9:21 p.m.
