Notice is hereby given that the Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority (“RDA”) will hold two public hearings both of which commencing at 10:00 am (local time) on June 9, 2022 and July 14, 2022, at the Purdue Technology Center, 9800 Connecticut Drive, Crown Point, Indiana 46307.  Both hearings will convene pursuant to IC 36-7.5-4.5-17 so as to provide information and seek comments related to the proposed establishment of seven Transit Development Districts identified as follows:

Hammond Gateway                              Portage/Ogden Dunes

Gary Miller                                           East Chicago

Munster Ridge Road                              Michigan City

Dyer/Munster Main Street

Anyone interested in matters related to any of the seven proposed Transit Development Districts is encouraged to be in attendance at either of the public hearings.

Materials related to establishment of the proposed Transit Development Districts may be viewed at the RDA offices located in the Purdue Technology Center, 9800 Connecticut Drive, Crown Point, IN 46307, or online at www.nwitdd.com.  If unable to attend either of the public hearings, comments may be submitted in writing to the RDA offices or by email to dwellman@rda.in.gov until conclusion of the July 14, 2022 public hearing.

Virtual participation in the hearings will be accommodated on the Zoom Platform. Anyone interested in virtual participation, should can contact David Wellman at 219-688-5013 or email at dwellman@rda.in.gov and will be provided with the link to facilitate virtual participation and the ability to ask questions during the hearings. 

It is anticipated that at the conclusion of the July 14, 2022 public hearing, the RDA Governing Board will consider establishment of one or more of the Transit Development Districts.
